Have you ever seen someone in the middle of a mosh pit, pen and paper in hand, drawing the show in front of you? No, we hadn’t either until we met Charlie Hoar just last week.
The Solent alumnus is a budding illustrator and comic book artist, but some of his most interesting subjects are the musicians on stage at local gigs. His drawings embody the movement and ephemerality of live music in a way that phone-captured photos and videos simply cannot, so take a look through his collection from Tuesday’s show at The Loft – The Big Moon, supported by Get Inuit.
Stay tuned for more from Charlie, including a feature in our upcoming magazine.
